LOUISE DUFFY

BROADCASTER

Award-winning Irish broadcaster Louise Duffy joined RTÉ Radio 1 in early 2023 and currently presents the brand-new Louise Duffy Show, weekdays from 12-1pm. With a carefully curated blend of classic hits, the best of Irish and exciting new releases from across the globe, the show is the biggest music show in the country and the new home of music on daytime RTÉ 1.

Prior to RTÉ, Louise made a name for herself on Today FM, where she was the recipient of an IMRO award for her popular show, Lost in Music. A passionate music lover and culture vulture, Louise has interviewed some of the biggest names in the music industry including Brandon Flowers, Dua Lipa and Ed Sheeran. She is renowned for a keen eye for emerging talent and new movements in the Irish music industry, as well as her genre-spanning tastes. When not in the studio, Louise can be found reporting from major music festivals such as Electric Picnic and Longitude, bringing the excitement and energy of live music to her listenership.

In addition to her radio work, Louise is the presenter of The Ballycotton Sessions on RTÉ 2 and the Brown Thomas official podcast. She has previously hosted The 6 O’Clock Show and coverage of the Irish Film and Television Awards, both for Virgin Media Television.

Aside from broadcasting, Louise is noted for her personal style and individual aesthetic. Coupled with her innate ability to engage and connect with audiences, she is a highly coveted brand partner and has collaborated with international consumer, prestige, and lifestyle brands on several successful campaigns and live events.

Given her extensive audio experience, it’s no surprise Louise is also a versatile voice-over artist with a fresh, contemporary sound which naturally lends itself to both commercial and corporate content.
